Resolutions for kids.

The holidays are over and the excitement of the new toys are long past. The new year has started and it is time to look forward to another year. But you want this year to be different...for the whole family.

So, how do you get your children to think about the upcoming year?

A friend of a friend came up with two simple questions for their kids:

  1. What is the one thing that you are thankful for that you cannot buy at a store?
  2. What is the one thing you want this year that you cannot buy at the store?

Asking these two questions to your kids will get them thinking.  You are not going to get perfect answers from your children the first time, so don't expect that.   In fact, the Facebook post that caught my eye here was the response of one of  her kids.  The child responded that he was thankful for Mickey Mouse.

Let me know how your kids respond.
